Biography

About Steven C. Harper

I graduated from Huddersfield University and continued my studies in London doing a postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music.

I have taught privately for over 23 years and worked for schools, colleges and universities as well as a great deal of solo performances in the fields of classical and popular music.

I have had great experience at solving vocal problems, and my tried and tested methods have given many hopefuls the start they needed for shows, universities and competitions.

Lessons are fun and entertaining and convey the great joy you get from music.

My teaching is based at my studio in Stoke-on-Trent, however I travel around the city to teach group work and give master classes.

I am regularly asked to be a summer school music director.

I have had great experience in solving vocal problems with over 27 years of performing experience, I have the right music for every beautiful occasion.

I have sung as soloist with a large number of choirs in this country (and further afield) in most of the standard repertoire (and Benjamin Britten).

I have given recitals at festivals, singing song cycles and operatic arias, and have teamed up with other singers to perform opera galas, where the favourites are brought out for all to enjoy.
